In 2024, WMW Laboratory proudly introduces its state-of-the-art Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), marking a significant advancement in operational efficiency and flexibility. Developed for seamless laboratory processes, the fully integrated LIMS system handles the entry, storage, tracking, analysis, and reporting of sample data.
This transformative initiative is spearheaded by our CEO, Tomson Tomoiye, and Laboratory Manager, John Bonny. Aligned with the WMW Strategic Implementation Plan 2024 – 2028, unveiled in December 2023, this major change underscores our commitment to progress and adaptability. The urgency felt by the laboratory propels the implementation of this groundbreaking system.
Traditionally, laboratory testing samples from Papua New Guinea were sent overseas for over four decades. WMW Laboratory is poised to redefine this paradigm, positioning itself at the forefront of change with the introduction of the Laboratory Information Management System.
The WMW LIMS system can produce data files such as EQUIS, EDD, CSV, excel, pdf, and many more advanced data formats that is required for management and engineering purposes.
Key benefits of WMW LIMS include, but are not limited to:
- Reduced Labor
- Improved Turnaround Times
- Value-Added Services: Data storage, retrieval, and analysis for clients
- Reduced Errors
- Increased Customer Satisfaction: Quicker and more meaningful response
- Elevated Staff Morale: Focusing on specialized tasks, not paperwork.
- Enhanced Management Information
- Business Continuity Improvements: Incorporating business rules into the system.
- Business Growth: Stemming from customer satisfaction, referrals, and timely product market entry.
